Samui Mermaid Resort is located in Baan Bang Rak (Big Buddha Bay) on the coast of north-east Koh Samui. Guests can choose to enjoy a stay at the seaside or the garden side. Featuring 3 swimming pools including an infinity edge pool, it also has free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour restaurant with outdoor seating.

This tropical resort is a 10-minute journey from Samui Airport. Samui Mermaid Resort is a 15-minute drive from the Bophut fisherman village and nightlife at Chaweng. Lamai Beach is a 30-minute drive away.

Featuring modern Thai décor, rooms are equipped with either a fan or air conditioning. All come with a cable TV, free bottled water and a private balcony. Attached bathrooms have hot-water showers.

Fine for a stopover stay, not much happening in the area, nice bar food but small rooms

Nice pool, nice food at the bar

All rooms need air con, fan is not enough is the heat , rooms are small so get very stuffy. Was extremely quiet we did not meet one other person while staying there, lacking in atmosphere but good if your there for a quiet break

Great place to stay but getting more expensive even in low season

Stayed here a few times always a delightful stay Right on the beach with a number of rooms to chose from,

Found cockroaches in room twice which not seen at this resort before, housekeeping need tobe more cleaner, room wasn’t cleaned the night before check out, otherwise everything else was good,

Great location for us overlooking the beach in room vip1.

I made a mistake when booking as I thought I needed to select extra bed for our 6 year old child. This wasn't necessary but I was still charged one night for this bed.

Great for a stopover flying in to Samui and heading straight to Koh Phangan next morning.

Near the airport and also near the Seatran ferry, which is my favorite ferry to Koh Phangan. Close to restaurants, including a good steakhouse (Oliver's). 7/11 2-3 minutes walking.

It's right under the flight path for the airport, to the point where you see and hear planes landing right in your face like never before, like 20 meters away at altitude of 10 meters or something like that. (yeah it's cool but also annoying). While you're sleeping you are woken up with what sounds like an air raid. Thus it's best as a 1 night stopover on your way to Koh Phangan via Seatran, but not where I'd decide to spend my holiday. The flights stopped around 11 but resumed the next morning between 6-7AM.

Good for one night, wouldn’t recommend a long stay without the aircon.

The grounds and the pool were immaculate, the room was clean and staff were friendly. Perfect for a layover thanks to location near the airport.

The shower had very low water pressure.

Beautiful clean resort on the beach with selection of pools

- beautiful resort with 3 pools and right on the beach - The resort was extremely clean - a short walk from the big golden Buddha and Wat Plai Laem temples and the pier to get boats to Koh Tao / Koh Phangan - very friendly and accommodating staff - close to the fisherman’s village which has a market on a Friday (a beautiful walk with lots to see!) - foods/ drinks good price and good quality The hotel is right under the flight path so the planes are literally over your head and very noisy. However they stop after 9/10pm and you do get used to it! If I was to visit Koh Samui again I would definitely stay here again and would 100% recommend it!

- having to pay for the taxis everywhere! Around 100 THB per person per journey to Chaweng / fisherman’s village etc which over a course of 5 days and return taxis can add up to quite a lot. Would be nice to have a complimentary taxi service to areas that are close by. - no mosquito nets and the rooms with the fans do get quite hot but are good value for money! - the location isn’t really near any other bars and restaurants and have to get taxis to other places.

The pool was cool.

So where to start... This is supposed to be a resort, but for the experience we had might as well have stayed in an hostel... It would be cheaper and the conditions would be the same. Our bed was composed by two mattresses (which is really cool for your back right?!), nobody came to clean our room and change the towels during the all 3 nights we stayed there, although they said we had free bottle water per night because nobody came to clean the room, no water was delivered either, and due to the proximity with the international airport the noise of the plains was very distinct and loud in the room (they literally fly close to the roof!). And finally I really didn't like being obligated to leave my passport at the reception in form of key deposit. They won't let you leave a copy of it instead, and it's either that or leave 1000 baht in cash - wich is absurd! Like 30 euros for a key deposit... Most places ask for 200 baht and the keys are way more tech! Not good price-quality ratio for sure! Location isn't also good.

good comfortable value for money

We booked this resort for some beach time expecting to have rooms on the beachside of the road, when we arrived we were informed that our rooms were accross the road and although we could use the facilities on the beach side, we would be staying the other side of the main road. The layout / set up of this resort could be explained better so guests are more aware of what they are booking. Having said that, our accommodation was very comfortable and good value for money. The kids loved the pool and it actually didnt make an difference that we were across the road from the beach in the end. I would recommend this place as the staff were lovely and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We did not have aircon but had a fan - the room was a bit stuffy but that is to be expected - the fan worked well though. Be warned, the resort is in the flight path, so planes fly over and are quite loud, once you get used to them - you don't really notice it.

If I have any suggestions it would be to supply a kettle in the rooms or at least give guests access to boiling water - I like to make a cup of coffee in the mornings and this would have made the stay much nicer.

Very very nice staff.

Very very nice staff. I ve book in the « cheap part » of the resort, and everything was perfect. Nice big pool. Small bungalows in a sweet garden. Restaurant opened 24h a day. Second pool is a at the beach, same same nice as the first one.

Very noisy but what can u expect sleeping so close to the airport?

Avoid this place. Aweful rooms directly in the flight path of the airport about 1 km away.

Right in the flight path of the airport about 1 km away - unless you like the sound of an Aurbus seemingly about to land in your bungalow as your wake up call at 6:30am. Also the rooms have no ventilation, are super hot, and you can hear everything in the rooms next to you.

The staff were very friendly. Always willing to help with no hassle. Everywhere was spotless. Right beside some bars and restraunts and the beach. Prefect value for money.

Food in the LIttle Mermaid is good.

Food in the LIttle Mermaid is good. The breakfast porridge cost 95 baht and was delicious. I also had pad thai and it tasted great too. The room is in a garden which is quite charming.

The hotel shuttle from the airport was only 10 mins and because I booked through Bookings.com the hotel charged 300 Baht for the transfer which is quite expensive; considering the hotel room was 550 Baht. The hotel is very near to the airport which made it convenient for me because I only spent one night but it is directly under the flight path

Loved everything about this resort!

Loved everything about this resort! Stayed here in 2015 and loved it, thought I’d stay again seeing as they upgraded their rooms and they have a new infinity pool which was lush! I would stay there again :D

Great to relax after a long haul flight

it was so handy to and from the airport, also for the pier to Koh Phangan. Lovely beach. Good variety of restuarants/ Friendly staff. Had the swimming pool to ourselves and plenty sunbeds.

The TV. Lack of English channels and the two film channels they did have we couldn't get, possibly because we were in the garden area?

Very close to the Airport - we flew in late and left at midday on the ferry, so it was ideal for one night
